When washing your hands in England, one has the choice between scalding or freezing water. I thought this might have changed during my 11-year absence in the country, but no! And many of these sinks are new, meaning that the Brits are willingly, purposefully carrying on the tradition of uncomfortable hand washing. Strangely, the hand dryers are quite modern. I’ve never seen them in the U.S. and definitely not in Italy.
